Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Financial Planning and Analysis, including budget and forecast calculations and UK R&D Tax Credit claims.
- Assist with Financial Reporting activities, including external audit support and year-end financial statement preparation.
- Support External Reporting and SOX compliance, including statutory accounts preparation and SOX controls.
- Contribute to the Purchase to Pay process, including invoice processing, month-end close activities, and expense claims review.
- Assist the Procurement function by developing training materials and managing Procurement KPI reporting.

Purpose of the role
We have an opportunity in our Finance group for a 12-month placement (Year in industry). We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who would relish the chance to learn from Immunocore’s cutting-edge science and corporate growth. The role will cover a broad range of activities across Finance to ensure the placement student develops a good basic understanding of the various roles and activities undertaken by Finance within Immunocore and help support their broader Finance studies and provide a solid foundation for future career choices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to Financial Planning and Analysis across a number of key areas, including but not limited to, Supporting the accuracy of budget and forecast calculations together with supporting Immunocore’s UK R&D Tax Credit claim
- Provide support to Financial Reporting across several key annual and monthly activities, including but not limited to, Support the external audit process
- Support the completion of year-end activities and preparation of the 2025 financial statements
- Provide support to External Reporting and SOX across several key activities, including but not limited to: Preparation of statutory accounts and external audit support.
- SOX controls in external reporting
- Provide support to Purchase to Pay across several key activities, including but not limited to: End-to-end P2P process: from Invoice to payment
- Supporting month-end close activities related to P2P
- Reviewing and processing employee expense claims
- Reviewing and processing HCP expense claims
- Provide support to Procurement function
- Develop and implement sustainable training material for existing processes & software
- Own Procurement KPI reporting and revise structure & content of related reports to capture accurate and timely details of activity
Education & Qualifications
Currently studying (in second year and looking for a year in industry) in BSc. Economics, Finance or related discipline
