Summary: The Water Neutrality Project Manager will lead initiatives supporting the Water Neutrality strategy and innovation within the water industry. This role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver water neutral developments as part of an Ofwat and Nesta backed project. The candidate must possess strong technical knowledge of water industry standards and experience in managing complex technical projects. The position focuses on overseeing a portfolio of work streams related to behavioral change and technology in water neutrality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of a range of water neutral project work streams from concept to completion.
- Create and deliver a clear vision of the work streams’ objectives and lead the project team in achieving them.
- Develop cost estimates, schedules, key milestones, deliverables, and overall plans for projects.
- Manage project governance activities and attend working groups and meetings supporting project delivery.
- Coordinate and analyze data and produce reports to measure project impact and the wider portfolio.
- Ensure the portfolio meets customer needs and target areas for optimal water savings.
- Work with key external stakeholders to support a reduction in water use for water neutral developments.
- Lead weekly & monthly calls for Project Sponsor, Senior Leaders, Steering Group, and Technical Steering group.

We are looking for an experienced project manager to lead a range of initiatives to support our Water Neutrality strategy and innovation for the industry. The role involves working in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure success in delivering water neutral developments as part of the Ofwat and Nesta backed innovation project. The primary focus of this position is to manage a portfolio of water neutrality work streams across behavioural change, technology, and a mixture of both. With this being a one-of-a-kind project, we need the candidate to have a strong technical knowledge of water industry standards and experienced delivery of technical projects.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the delivery of a range of water neutral project work streams from concept to completion. This may include commissioning consultancies or researchers to undertake project delivery or project evaluation / impact assessment. It will also involve:
- Creating and delivering a clear vision of the work streams’ objectives and lead the project team in achieving them.
- Developing cost estimates, schedules, key milestones, deliverables, and overall plans for projects.
- Manage project governance activities and attending working groups and meetings which support project delivery.
- Coordinate and analyse data and produce reports to measure the impact of the projects and the wider portfolio when required.
- Ensure the portfolio meets the needs of our customers and target areas to get the best water savings to facilitate water neutral developments.
- Work with key external stakeholders including our customers and wider community groups to support a reduction in water use to facilitate water neutral developments.
- Lead weekly & monthly calls for Project Sponsor, Senior Leaders, Steering Group and Technical Steering group.
