Downs View is an Outstanding Special School and Colleges, providing education for young people with Special Education and Disability Needs (SEND). Our pupils are aged from 4 to 25 years and all have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Our school site is in Woodingdean with pupils aged 4 to 16. Our college site, Downs View Link College, is next to Varndean College and is for 16-19 year olds and our other college site, Downs View Life Skills College, is in Patcham and is for 19-26 year olds.

We meet the learning needs for pupils with profound and multiple, severe and moderate learning difficulties. Many of our pupils have autism and communication difficulties. We value the importance of developing social emotional needs and life skills alongside developing academic knowledge and skills.
