Summary: The role of Senior Manager - Snowflake & DBT Specialist + Informatica involves leading cloud data transformation initiatives for a global asset manager. The position requires expertise in Snowflake and DBT, focusing on modernizing data architecture and ensuring data governance. The candidate must have client-facing experience and will work in a hybrid environment based in London. This is an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension, classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise DBT to write modular, version-controlled SQL for data transformation in Snowflake.
- Spearhead the migration of legacy on-premise data to cloud-native architectures.
- Manage the end-to-end data lifecycle from ingestion into Snowflake to outputs.
- Implement automated testing and manage data lineage for compliance with regulatory standards and GDPR.
- Identify and repair systemic inefficiencies by moving to modular code.
- Optimise Snowflake "Warehouses" and storage for performance and cost control.
- Coordinate within an Agile/Scrum framework with developers, testers, and offshore Centres of Excellence.
- Possess working knowledge of Informatica.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Snowflake and DBT.
- Experience in cloud data transformation and architecture.
- Strong client-facing skills.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
- Ability to work within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

We require a UK based resource at a Senior Manager level who has client facing experience too (important)
The ideal candidate would be a Snowflake DBT specialist focuses on the engineering and architecture of the Modern Data Stack to replace legacy, manual processes.
- Cloud Data Transformation: Utilises DBT (Data Build Tool) to write modular, version-controlled SQL to transform raw data into clean, business-ready tables within Snowflake.
- Infrastructure Modernisation: Spearheads the migration of Legacy on-premise data to cloud-native architectures
- Pipeline Orchestration: Manages the end-to-end data lifecycle, from ingestion into Snowflake to outputs
- Data Governance & Quality: Implements automated testing (dbt-tests) and manages data lineage to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and GDPR.
- Operational Optimisation: Identifies and repairs systemic inefficiencies by moving to modular code
- Compute Management: Optimises Snowflake "Warehouses" and storage to maintain high platform performance while controlling cloud expenditure.
- Cross-Functional Delivery: Works within an Agile/Scrum framework, coordinating with developers, testers, and offshore Centres of Excellence to provide 24/7 support.
- Working knowledge of Informatica would be highly desirable.
