Summary: The UX Designer role at NTT DATA involves collaborating with clients and colleagues to address UX challenges while balancing business objectives and user needs. The position requires participation in the entire UX design process, including research, design development, and usability testing. The designer will also be responsible for creating standard UI patterns and communicating design concepts effectively. This is a remote position based in the United States, specifically Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with clients and colleagues to understand UX problems and define solutions that balance business objectives, user needs, and technical restraints.
  • Contribute throughout the UX design process by participating in research, understanding current state, helping to identify use cases and requirements, brainstorming solutions, developing designs of increasing fidelity, and supporting development teams.
  • Help plan and execute conceptual testing and usability testing to inform design and drive team alignment.
  • Develop and communicate standard UI patterns.
  • Illustrate user experience concepts (experience models, personas, user flows, site maps, storyboards, and prototypes, etc.).
  • Contribute and adhere to visual and branding standards (fonts, colors, imagery, iconography, etc.).
  • Prepare and present solutions to internal teams and key stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • 1+ years' experience in a client-facing, UX Designer or Information Architect role.
  • 1+ years' experience planning and facilitating user research and usability tests needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design / HCI / Related Field, or equivalent real-world experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in one or more of the following: common design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.), prototyping tools (InVision, Axure, etc.), and collaboration tools (Abstract, Sharepoint, etc.).
  • Online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating solid experience designing responsive web and mobile applications.
  • Basic understanding of UX best practices across User Experience Design, Information Architecture, Content Strategy, User Interface Design.
  • Familiarity with deliverables such as user research analysis, use cases and scenarios, flows, detailed designs, annotations, and design systems.
  • The ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work.
  • Experience with activities such as user research, identifying user needs, developing design concepts, design thinking, and development support.
  • Experience creating highly detailed annotated wireframes, user flows, and process flows within consumer applications.
  • Ability to produce intuitive, user-centered designs across multiple channels and devices.
  • Ability to partner closely with developers, QA and product managers to rapidly iterate on designs based on user feedback and technical constraints.
  • Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed.
  • Strong client (presentation) communication skills and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical).
  • Must reside in the US.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $45-$61.25/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
