Summary: The Mission Systems Architect role is a contract position focused on delivering AI-enabled operational systems in secure environments. The architect will engage in technical delivery, operational coordination, and customer interaction, ensuring that evolving requirements are transformed into deployable capabilities. This position requires collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders to design and implement mission-focused systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and guiding technical architecture for mission-focused systems
- Supporting deployments, operational planning, and delivery coordination
- Working directly with customers to understand and refine requirements as priorities evolve
- Collaborating with teams across AI, infrastructure, applications, and deployment engineering
- Helping shape workflows, interfaces, and early-stage prototypes
- Supporting demos, workshops, and technical discussions with stakeholders
- Identifying delivery risks and helping coordinate deployment activity
- Producing architecture documentation, delivery plans, and technical artefacts
- Supporting deployments across cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped environments
Key Skills:
- Strong experience across solution architecture and technical delivery
- Background working within defence, secure, or operational environments
- Comfortable engaging with customers and technical stakeholders
- Understanding of AI-enabled systems, Linux infrastructure, and deployment challenges
- Able to operate effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
- Strong problem-solving, organisation, and systems-thinking skills

Fortice are looking for a Mission Systems Architect to help shape and deliver AI-enabled operational systems across secure environments.
