Summary: The Full Stack Staff Engineer role focuses on leading the design and development of critical systems for California's behavioral health transformation efforts, specifically within the Licensing & Certification platform team. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of critical systems supporting California’s behavioral health transformation efforts.
• Work closely with engineers to design systems, write production code, and solve technical problems.
• Partner with a Senior Engineering Coach to enhance engineering practices and team effectiveness.
• Own the technical direction and health of key platform services and workflows.
• Drive projects from early design through production rollout and support.
• Write production code for core platform features and services.
• Build and maintain backend APIs using .NET Core and modern service patterns.
• Improve systems supporting renewals, notifications, and regulatory processing.

Key Skills:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend and distributed systems experience.
• Experience leading technical projects and influencing architecture decisions.
• Strong experience building APIs and backend services in C# / .NET.
• Expertise with PostgreSQL, Entity Framework Core, relational schema design, and query optimization.
• Experience with asynchronous processing and workflow orchestration systems.
