Summary: An established technology delivery partner is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to assist in a large-scale cloud migration and application modernization program. The role involves working within a high-performing engineering team to transform enterprise platforms into scalable, secure, and cloud-native environments. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to enhance deployment practices and operational resilience across critical business systems. This position requires a strong background in cloud engineering and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the cloud migration and modernisation of enterprise applications
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code principles
- Build and maintain scalable environments across compute, networking, and related cloud services
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to deliver secure, observable, and manageable cloud workloads
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development, automation initiatives, and infrastructure patching strategies
- Produce and maintain deployment and operational documentation aligned to governance and compliance standards
- Participate in change management and release processes
- Monitor platform performance and reliability using modern observability and monitoring tooling
- Support incident response and continuous service improvement initiatives
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or Senior Cloud Engineer within enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience delivering cloud migration or modernisation programmes
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or similar tooling)
- Experience working within DevOps-driven delivery environments
- Strong understanding of cloud platform services across compute, networking, and infrastructure layers
- Experience building or supporting automated deployment pipelines
- Exposure to monitoring and performance management tooling
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional engineering teams
