Summary: We are seeking an experienced VMware Automation Consultant with expertise in Aria Automation and vSphere administration to design and deliver automated infrastructure services within a VMware Cloud Foundation environment. The role involves requirements gathering, solution design, and automation development, ensuring effective delivery of scalable infrastructure automation. The consultant will also be responsible for knowledge transfer to operational teams. A proactive approach and the ability to operate independently are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to requirements gathering workshops with stakeholders
- Design and develop automation solutions and infrastructure workflows
- Build and maintain vRA templates, blueprints, and catalogue items
- Support environment preparation and platform readiness activities
- Implement tagging, governance, and policy-based automation standards
- Integrate APIs across VMware and third-party systems
- Conduct testing, validation, and iterative improvements of automation solutions
- Deliver live demonstrations of automation capabilities to stakeholders
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to operational teams
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware Aria Automation
- Advanced knowledge of vSphere administration
- Strong Scripting and automation skills using PowerCLI and/or Python
- Experience designing and managing service catalogues and workflows
- Solid understanding of VMware Cloud Foundation
- Experience with tagging strategies, governance models, and policy enforcement
