Summary: The Technical Project Manager will lead a significant Network Security Transformation programme for a global organization, focusing on the refresh and migration of network security services across multiple regions. This role involves collaboration with infrastructure teams, regional IT teams, and strategic partners, ensuring effective project governance and stakeholder communication. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract, requiring expertise in managing complex international environments and relationships with third-party suppliers. The role is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days onsite in Gloucestershire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery of global network and security transformation initiatives
  • Coordinate migration activities between incumbent and new network providers
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and implementation partners
  • Work closely with regional IT teams to coordinate deployment activities globally
  • Ensure effective project governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges
  • Facilitate project meetings, workstream updates, and executive reporting
  • Support operational transition and service readiness activities
  • Drive delivery against agreed milestones and timelines
  • Support evolving governance and delivery frameworks within a transforming IT environment

The Opportunity

A global organisation is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a major Network Security Transformation programme as part of a 12-month maternity cover assignment. This role will focus on the refresh and migration of global network security services and connectivity across multiple regions, working closely with infrastructure teams, regional IT teams, and strategic technology partners. The programme includes transitioning from an existing global network provider to a new strategic partner, alongside wider security and infrastructure improvements across the global estate. This is a highly visible role within the business and requires someone comfortable operating across complex international environments with multiple stakeholders and suppliers.

Experience Required

Proven experience delivering network infrastructure and/or network security projects

Strong technical project management background within enterprise IT environments

Experience working on global infrastructure transformation programmes

Understanding of network technologies and security concepts

Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills

Experience managing complex migrations and multi-region delivery

Strong governance, reporting, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and drive delivery in evolving environments

Self-sufficient and proactive approach to project delivery and issue resolution

Desirable Experience

Experience working with SD-WAN, WAN, or global connectivity providers

Exposure to network security refresh programmes

Experience within matrix organisations or global IT functions

Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure environments
