Summary: The Technical Business Analyst for Credit Risk at a global investment bank will focus on enhancing credit risk reporting processes through technology. This role involves collaboration with various teams to improve infrastructure and analytics capabilities. The position requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of credit risk metrics. The contract is for six months and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of Credit Risk enhancement initiatives from a technology perspective
- Perform detailed technical analysis and solution design for infrastructure updates
- Gather and document business and functional requirements
- Map trade and market data into target risk engine formats (e.g. FraimWRX)
- Validate pricing and simulation models (e.g. Markit FRA / similar)
- Define solutions for EOD and intraday credit risk monitoring
- Work with vendors and internal tech teams to plan and deliver system changes
- Define and execute testing strategies (UAT, functional testing)
- Support production handover and resolve post-release issues
- Build strong relationships across Credit Risk, Market Risk, Risk Analytics, and Front Office
Key Skills:
- Strong Business Analysis experience within investment banking, with a deep understanding of Credit Risk including PFE, CVA, VaR, and Expected Shortfall
- Proven experience delivering credit risk reporting and/or risk technology projects
- Strong data and technical skills – SQL, Excel, VBA, with exposure to Python and/or Power BI highly desirable
- Experience working with vendor or in-house risk engines (e.g. FraimWRX, Murex, or similar)
- Solid understanding of trade and market data flows
- Experience defining test plans, supporting UAT, and working across the full project lifecycle
- Exposure to Control-M or similar scheduling tools is a plus
- Ability to effectively engage with both business and technology stakeholders
- Technical BA profile, ideally with a development background
- Strong analytical mindset with quantitative awareness
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, complex environments with a track record of delivering front-to-back risk solutions
