Summary: The SQL Server DBA role requires an experienced professional with active SC Security Clearance to manage SQL Server databases within a hybrid working environment in London. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage SQL Server databases, including configuration and maintenance of database servers and processes.
- Perform backups, restores, and implement recovery models.
- Ensure high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Monitor system health and performance to maintain high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
- Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Key Skills:
- In-depth experience as a SQL Server DBA or in a similar role.
- Performance tuning and optimization (PTO) skills.
- Experience with Windows Server, including Active Directory.
- Knowledge of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options.
- Ability to monitor system health and performance.
- Experience in analyzing and solving real-time issues.
- Familiarity with MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications is a plus.
- Banking/Financial Services domain experience preferred.
- Active SC Security Clearance used on a project within the past 12 months.

SQL Server DBA needed with active SC Security Clearance, SQL Server databases.
6 Month Contract based in Central London (Hybrid). Start ASAP in March 2026.
Hybrid Working - 2 days/week remote (WFH), and 3 days/week working on-site from the London office.

- Experienced SQL Server DBA or similar role, Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
