Key Responsibilities:

Are you a dedicated SEN Teacher, keen to make a difference within SEN Education? A well-established Specialist Provision in Leigh are seeking an SEN Teacher to lead a small group of children in Yrs4-5 with complex SEMH, ASC and other learning needs.

Job Description:

  • Contract, full-time position for the next few months
  • Nurturing SEMH School
  • Work with students in Yrs4-5 with a range of needs: ASC, SEMH, other complex learning and mental health needs
  • Small classes of max. 5-6 students (high staff/student ratios)
  • Trauma-informed practice, child-centred approach
  • Oversee class Teaching Assistants to ensure all students can thrive
  • Start date as soon as possible - contract length at least 2 months

Person description:

  • QTS/QTLS essential, with experience working in a Primary SEND setting with children with similar SEND
  • Child-centred approach to teaching - understands and implements trauma-informed practices
  • Calm and patient demeanour, with strong classroom management skills
