Summary: The role of ServiceNow Technical Consultant- ITOM involves conducting strategic assessments of ITOM implementations, focusing on modules such as Discovery, CMDB, Event Management, and AlOps. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive assessments of ServiceNow ITOM implementations, covering Discovery, CMDB, Event Management, and AlOps modules.
  • Examine current state architecture, data quality, integration points, technical debts, and operational workflows to understand the existing environment.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks within ITOM processes and configurations.
  • Guide customers on effective utilization of ServiceNow ITOM Module licenses.
  • Assess Discovery patterns, schedules, credentials, and coverage to ensure effective discovery processes.
  • Evaluate CMDB health, focusing on data quality, relationships, reconciliation, and normalization.
  • Review Event Management integrations, alert correlation rules, and the effectiveness of operational dashboards.
  • Analyze AlOps configurations, including anomaly detection, machine learning models, and automation workflows to ensure optimal performance.

Key Skills:

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist ITOM.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
  • 8+ years of overall experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM modules.

This position plays a pivotal role in supporting enterprise clientto evaluate their current ITOM maturity, identify areas for improvement, and develop a roadmap for optimization and transformation that aligns with organizational objectives. The consultant will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to assess current implementations, provide actionable recommendations, and facilitate strategic planning for future-state ITOM capabilities.
