Summary: The Senior Network Automation Engineer role involves designing and evolving a network automation framework, building scalable automation for data center fabrics, and integrating with vendor APIs. This position is onsite for a 12-month contract and classified as inside IR35. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to deliver improvements using NetDevOps principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and evolving the network automation framework (SoT, templating, validation, change control)
- Building idempotent automation for data centre fabrics at scale
- Integrating with vendor APIs/SDKs (Arista EOS, NetQ, etc.)
- Capturing network intent as code with strong quality gates and review processes
- Implementing telemetry, SLOs, and automated remediation workflows
- Collaborating with platform, network, and research teams
- Delivering frequent, safe, incremental improvements using NetDevOps principles
Key Skills:
- Advanced Python for production-grade tooling
- Go experience (preferred)
- Strong Ansible (roles, collections, data models)
- Solid Git workflows (branching, PRs, semantic versioning)
- Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, logging/tracing)
- Experience with NetBox/Nautobot or similar SoT/CMDB
- Strong Linux networking fundamentals + Bash Scripting
- Workflow orchestration (Temporal or similar)

We're currently working with one of our key partners who are looking to recruit a Senior Network Automation Engineer for an initial 12-Month contract.
The role is Onsite and Inside IR35.
