Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, co-location, and regional environments.
- Manage infrastructure solutions including hypervisors, Windows Servers, MS SQL, Active Directory, and enterprise storage.
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents.
- Contribute to planning and execution of infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and capacity expansions.
- Oversee configuration and lifecycle management of physical and virtual servers.
- Manage storage and backup environments to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Administer and optimise Active Directory and identity integrations.

12 month Fixed term role Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, co-location, and regional environments. This includes compute, storage, virtualisation, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and backup systems. hands-on expertise in operating, maintaining and improving infrastructure performance, resilience, and scalability. Responsible for the ongoing management of infrastructure solutions including on-premises hypervisors (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, etc.), Windows Servers, MS SQL, Active Directory, and enterprise storage. Act as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and long-term resolution. Contribute to the planning and execution of infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, capacity expansions, and other key initiatives ensuring alignment with architecture and security standards. Oversee the configuration and lifecycle management of physical and virtual servers, including patching, monitoring, and optimisation. Manage storage and backup environments to ensure data integrity, recoverability, and performance; participate in DR testing and readiness planning. Administer and optimise Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity integrations (e.g., Entra ID / Azure AD). 4–6 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure roles, with demonstrable progression in technical responsibility. Strong experience managing Hypervisor environments (such as VMware) including performance optimisation and capacity planning. Solid understanding of SAN/NAS storage architecture, provisioning, and performance tuning. Proven capability in Windows Server and Active Directory administration, including GPO, replication, and identity management.
