Summary: The Senior HR Advisor role involves providing specialist HR support and advice to a local authority client on pay practices and change management. This temporary position is full-time for three months, with the possibility of extension, and requires regular access to York. The advisor will work closely with managers and trade unions to facilitate operational and contractual changes within the Environment and Regulatory Services Directorate.

Senior HR Advisor WorkwithYork are working with our local authority client to find an Interim HR Senior Advisor. This is a temporary 3-month full time assignment with potential scope for longer ,working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday on a hybrid basis with regular and easy access required to York. Competitive pay , holiday pay and pension with online timesheets.
This role involves:
- Responding to challenges on pay and working practices
- Providing specialist advice on ways to resolve disputes, resistance and legal challenge.
- Set up monitoring ,recording and dispute resolution processes
- Advise and support local managers on a change management project with a view to securing operational and contractual change in the Environment and Regulatory Services Directorate including actively working with both managers and TU's in negotiations of contract changes.
You will have:
- Excellent knowledge of pay practice and experience in advising managers on change management which will secure operational practice and contractual changes.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Possess HR CIPD Level 5 as a minimum
