Summary: Our client seeks a Senior Data Scientist for a six-month contract, requiring three days a week onsite in Coventry and the remainder remote. The position is classified as Inside IR35 and demands a strong background in data science with a focus on impactful solutions. Candidates should possess advanced technical skills and a deep understanding of machine learning and data management frameworks. A minimum of a BSc, with a preference for MSc or PhD qualifications in a STEM field, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver impactful data science solutions in a professional setting.
- Utilize CRISP-DM, ML Ops, Agile delivery, and ITIL frameworks.
- Lead initiatives in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Develop and implement machine learning models and techniques.
- Craft data narratives using Power BI.
- Ensure model tracking and reproducibility using ML flow or similar tools.
Key Skills:
- BSc minimum, MSc or PhD in a STEM field preferred.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in data science.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Deep expertise in various ML techniques and model interpretability tools.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and containerization tools.

- Recognized as a "Thought Leader" in AI and machine learning.

Key skills/knowledge/experience:
. BSc minimum, MSc or PhD in a STEM field (eg, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence) strongly preferred.
* 3-5+ years of professional experience in data science or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.
* Deep understanding of CRISP-DM, ML Ops, Agile delivery, and ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
* Recognized as a "Thought Leader" in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Core Technical Skills
* Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with software engineering practices such as modular design, testing, and CI/CD.
* Deep expertise in a wide range of ML techniques (eg, ensemble methods, NLP, time-series forecasting, deep learning); familiarity with model interpretability and fairness tools.
* Strong experience with Microsoft Azure architecture (Azure ML, Azure Synapse), and containerization tools (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).
* Advanced knowledge of statistical modelling, causal inference, and experimental design (eg, A/B testing).
* Ability to craft compelling data narratives using Power BI
* Familiarity with ML flow, or similar tools for model tracking and reproducibility.
