Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business analysis activities across API and data integration projects.
  • Gather, refine, and document requirements from clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories.
  • Map existing and future-state data flows, identifying dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support end-to-end delivery - from discovery and design through to testing and assurance.
  • Ensure all outputs align with NHS data governance and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, etc.).
  • Act as the bridge between business users, suppliers, and engineering teams.

Key Skills:

  • Proven Business Analysis experience on NHS or wider public sector digital projects.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven systems, APIs, and integration projects.
  • Experience producing documentation such as process maps, data models, and user stories.
  • Ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and digital transformation principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a large-scale NHS digital programme focused on data integration and API-driven transformation.

You'll be working with cross-functional teams including data engineers, developers, and product managers to shape and deliver solutions that improve interoperability, insights, and outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NHS projects, an understanding of data flows and standards, and experience working on API-led platforms within complex public sector environments.
