Summary: The role of Workday Technical Project Manager involves leading and coordinating technical activities within a complex Workday programme, particularly focusing on divestiture-related workstreams. The position requires managing the technical scope of a separation programme, ensuring smooth delivery and operational continuity through collaboration with internal teams and an external Workday partner. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing large-scale global programmes and a deep understanding of the technical complexities involved in Workday environments. This is a remote contract position based in the UK/EU for a duration of 6 months, starting ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Workday technical delivery in support of a divestiture programme, ensuring clean separation of data, integrations, and access.
  • Manage and coordinate activities across: Integration cutover planning and execution, Data extraction, cleansing, and migration, System and user testing (SIT, UAT, regression), Workday Reporting development and validation.
  • Oversee the performance and output of the Workday partner, ensuring deliverables are aligned with business expectations.
  • Ensure robust delivery across key Workday components: EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder), Security and Role-Based Access Controls, IDAM (Identity and Access Management), Master Data Management, Service Management and support transition.
  • Drive delivery in line with Agile principles and ITIL-based service management frameworks.
  • Act as a key point of contact for both business and technical stakeholders, translating complex requirements into clear plans.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Workday Technical Project Manager, ideally in large-scale global programmes.
  • Divestiture experience is essential, with a deep understanding of the technical complexities involved in separating Workday environments, data, and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday's technical landscape, including: Cutover and go-live planning, Data migration and cleansing, Reporting and analytics, Security and compliance, Integration landscape and EIBs.
  • Experience overseeing third-party Workday partners and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Strong familiarity with ITIL service transition and Agile project delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
