Summary: The Workday Certified Integrations Consultant (PECI Focus) is tasked with designing, developing, supporting, and optimizing Workday integrations, particularly focusing on Payroll Effective Change Interface (PECI). This fully remote role requires deep technical expertise in Workday integration frameworks and payroll domain knowledge to ensure accurate data exchange between Workday and external systems. The consultant will work within an AMS or post-go-live support model, addressing integration failures and collaborating with Payroll and HR teams. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in PECI-driven integrations in production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and support PECI integrations for U.S. Payroll and Global Payroll vendors
- Troubleshoot payroll-related integration failures, retroactivity issues, and data discrepancies
- Partner with Payroll and HR teams to analyze effective-dated changes and downstream payroll impacts
- Support parallel payroll testing, cutover activities, and post-production stabilization
- Develop and support integrations using Core Connectors, Enterprise Interface Builder, and Workday Studio
- Perform enhancements, defect fixes, and optimizations for inbound and outbound integrations
- Maintain XSLT transformations, document mappings, and technical design artifacts
- Resolve incidents, service requests, and enhancement tickets in alignment with SLA commitments
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
- Participate in Workday bi-annual release impact assessments, regression testing, and deployment support
- Maintain integration documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials
- Participate in client and internal technical design discussions and status meetings
- Coordinate with functional consultants to ensure integrations align with Workday configuration changes
- Provide effort estimates, impact assessments, and implementation recommendations for new integration requests
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Integrations
- 3+ years of experience supporting PECI-based payroll integrations in production environments
- Workday Certification in Core Integrations (required)
- Proven experience with Payroll Effective Change Interface (PECI), PICOF, and payroll output integrations
- Experience with Workday Studio and Core Connectors
- Experience supporting GlobalView or multi-country payroll integrations (preferred)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar ticketing tools (preferred)
- Experience working in onshore/offshore delivery models (preferred)
- Additional Workday certifications (preferred)

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Integrations
3+ years of experience supporting PECI-based payroll integrations in production environments
Workday Expertise
Workday Certification in Core Integrations (required)
Proven experience with:
Payroll Effective Change Interface (PECI)
PICOF and payroll output integrations
Workday Studio and Core Connectors
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting GlobalView or multi-country payroll integrations
Experience in AMS or managed services delivery models
