Summary: The Virtualization Engineer role focuses on implementing and managing cloud architectures, particularly in Azure and VMware environments. The position requires strong technical skills in automation, scripting, and compliance with CMMC and NIST standards. The engineer will work with cross-functional IT teams to enhance infrastructure and ensure robust documentation and communication. This is a remote position with a strong emphasis on independent learning and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage cloud architectures (VMware, Nutanix, AWS, Azure).
- Automate Infrastructure as Code using various technologies (Ansible, Python, PowerShell).
- Ensure compliance with CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171/800-172 standards.
- Document processes and maintain effective communication across teams.
- Support both Windows and Linux server environments.
- Work with enterprise hybrid cloud architecture and storage solutions.
