Summary: The Technical Manager role focuses on leading the design and development of web applications using Prismic CMS as a headless content backend. The position requires excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of Prismic's features and APIs. The candidate will also be responsible for optimizing content delivery performance and coordinating between various teams to ensure project alignment. This is a remote position with a duration of over 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and performant web applications using Prismic CMS as the headless content backend.
- Architect and implement content modeling strategies in Prismic (custom types, slices, repeatable blocks, SEO-friendly schemas).
- Develop and enforce best practices for content delivery using Prismic's GraphQL/REST APIs and SDKs (JavaScript, React, Next.js, etc.).
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code; conduct peer code reviews to maintain code quality.
- Optimize content delivery performance (e.g., caching, lazy loading, CDN integration, Prismic's built-in preview & staging).
- Integrate Prismic with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js) and backend systems (Node.js, APIs, headless commerce).
- Own delivery timelines, risk assessment, and escalation of blockers.
- Coordinate between content strategists, UX designers, and developers to ensure smooth content-to-code workflows.
- Act as the on-site technical project manager for agile product teams, ensuring alignment between business goals, UX, and technical execution.
