Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with research, engineering, and business teams to modernize and enhance enterprise platforms.
  • Shape solution architecture across a range of modern enterprise and cloud-based platforms.
  • Deliver scalable, secure, and integrated technology solutions.
  • Collaborate on architecture strategy, technical design, integrations, and platform roadmaps.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and wider stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Strong background within Pharma / Life Sciences / R&D environments.
  • Experience working closely with scientific or research-focused teams.
  • Knowledge of scientific research platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Proven solution architecture and enterprise systems experience.
  • Strong cloud experience (Azure or GCP preferred).
  • API-first architecture and SaaS integration experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience influencing technical roadmaps, architecture strategy, and technology direction.
  • Exposure to AI/ML or data-driven platforms (nice to have).
  • Experience within highly regulated environments (nice to have).
  • DevSecOps and modern software engineering practices (nice to have).
  • Experience with containerisation, integrations, or large-scale platform environments (nice to have).

A Global organisation currently looking for a Solution Architect to join a growing technology function supporting large-scale scientific R&D initiatives. This position will work closely with research, engineering and business teams to help modernise and enhance enterprise platforms used across complex scientific and operational environments. The role will focus on shaping solution architecture across a range of modern enterprise and cloud-based platforms, helping deliver scalable, secure and integrated technology solutions. You’ll work across architecture strategy, technical design, integrations and platform roadmaps, partnering closely with Product Managers, Engineers and wider stakeholders. This is a strong fit for someone who has previously worked within Pharma, Life Sciences or scientific R&D environments and understands how to support research-focused teams with modern technology solutions.
