Summary: The ServiceNow Tech Lead will play a pivotal role in leading technical execution and ensuring the successful delivery of products within a vendor team. This position involves close collaboration with the Product Manager and guiding engineering decisions to align with business goals. The role requires hands-on technical involvement while overseeing architectural decisions and maintaining code quality. The ideal candidate will also support team growth and remove technical blockers to enhance engineering velocity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Product Manager to enable successful product delivery.
- Guide engineering decisions and maintain technical integrity of the product.

- Design Vendor Enterprise Architecture in partnership with Data & Solutions Architects.

- Identify and mitigate technical risks and bottlenecks in development.
- Perform code reviews and ensure robust testing practices.
- Support team growth and identify resource gaps.
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications and integrations.

Lead Technical Engineer (Vendor Team):
- The Tech Lead will tightly partner with the Product Manager of the pod to collectively enable successful product delivery - alignment of technical execution to achieve business goals and outcomes
- Anchors the technical integrity of the product, guiding engineering decisions and feasibility
- Determines HOW the product will be built efficiently, securely and scalably
- Leads architectural decisions, code quality and engineering best practices
- Architectural decisions should be made based on standards and guidance provided by Data & Solutions Architect(s)
- Owns technical delivery and quality
- Supports technical team growth, removes, technical blockers, and ensures engineering velocity
- Includes but is not limited to:
- Day-to-day technical execution with 'team/pod'
- Team Guidance in 'Breaking Down the Work'

- Close partnership with Dev-Ops to ensure work is scoped and meets requirements
- Will also pick-up work/stories/tasks (50% of time hands-on-keyboard)
