Summary: The Senior VMware Automation Consultant will play a crucial role in upgrading and modernizing a banking client's VMware Cloud Foundation environment from VCF 5.2.x to VCF 9.x. The consultant will focus on Configuration Drift Management using Aria Automation Config / Salt, ensuring security, compliance, and audit-related initiatives are met. This position requires strong technical leadership and collaboration with client stakeholders to develop scalable automation processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
- Support Configuration Drift Management using Aria Automation Config / SaltStack.
- Develop Salt integrations and automation workflows using Python and/or Java.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Develop and integrate API-driven automation solutions across enterprise platforms.
- Work with VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) and related VMware automation tools.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable automation processes.
- Provide technical leadership and automation best practices within highly regulated banking environments.
- Support security, compliance, and audit use cases through automation and configuration management.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation frameworks and integrations.
