Summary: The Senior Technical Consultant D365 CE will be responsible for participating in sprint planning, performing development and unit testing, and integrating D365 CE with other applications using Azure features. The role requires extensive coordination with onshore and offshore teams, as well as technical leadership in module or project implementation. The consultant will also contribute to the overall D365 CE capability through knowledge sharing and improvement initiatives. Strong technical skills in Dynamics CRM/D365 CE and .Net are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in sprint planning sessions, understand user stories, raise queries against gaps, provide estimates against work allocated, understand the design, perform development and unit testing, and update hours against actuals in configuration management tool.
- Perform peer reviews.
- Development will be primarily around D365 CE, customizations, and configurations.
- Integrate D365 CE with other applications primarily using Azure features.
- Develop/configure external applications that integrate with D365 CE and plugins/custom workflow activities that integrate with external applications.
- Investigate defects and provide fixes.
- Extensive onshore-offshore coordination and communication.
- Act as a technical lead of a module or project and work closely with the onshore Solution Architect to perform designs and be accountable for the implementation.
- Technically contribute to the overall D365 CE capability - upskill, provide improvement ideas, conduct knowledge sharing sessions.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of technical experience in Dynamics CRM/D365 CE and .Net (ASP.Net MVC, Web API, WPF, SQL Server). An even mix of both is an advantage.
- Working knowledge coding in C# with the latest syntax of .Net.
- Sound knowledge around OOPS and its applications - classes, interfaces, inheritance, and composition.
- Sound knowledge in SQL Queries.
- Working knowledge in Dynamics 365 customizations and configurations including workflows, plugins, custom workflow activities, JavaScript, sitemap/ribbon customizations, PowerApps, deployment, and security.
- Experience writing C#/JavaScript code to consume D365 APIs or any other APIs externally. Knowledge in SSIS/KWS, SCRIBE is an advantage.
- Experience in writing D365 Fetch-based reports.
- Sound functional knowledge in at least 2 of Sales, Service, and Marketing modules.
- Strong HTML5 and CSS skills are a must.
- JQuery.
- Strong development experience in at least one of USD and D365/ADX portals is a must.
- Azure knowledge is desired - logic apps, Web API, functions, and their deployments.
- Experience in unit testing - automated or manual.
- Experience in one or more JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, JQuery, Knockout is desired.
- Strong documentation skills, able to implement solutions provided in design documents and follow processes mentioned in the configuration management plan - check-ins, check-outs, merge, and so on. Agile knowledge is a must.
- Able to do simple to medium complex design work.
- Experience leading a team as a technical lead overseeing a module or project.
