Summary: Kellton Tech is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a long-term remote contract role. The position involves building automated testing solutions and collaborating with technical teams on a serverless application for advanced registration processes. Candidates should have extensive experience in quality assurance and test automation, particularly with JavaScript and AWS services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build automated testing solutions using Javascript and Playwright
- Collaborate on software projects with product design and technical teams
- Create and execute testing strategies for back-end services, front-end applications, and infrastructure
- Work as a technical contributor on an Agile team
Key Skills:
- BA/BS required (major in an analytical field desired)
- A minimum of 7 years experience in Quality Assurance, test automation or equivalent work experience
- Experience creating QA strategy, identifying test scenarios and implementing tests using QA automation tools
- Experience working on Agile engineering teams
- Experienced with Javascript, Cucumber and either WebDriver IO or Selenium
- Experienced with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, etc.
- Experience developing testing strategies and identifying comprehensive test scenarios based on business requirements
- Ability to mentor the development team on QA automation practices and modern testing strategies
- Accountable and reliable, proactive communicator and problem solver
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Ethos of continuous improvement and interest in learning new things
- Strong ability to understand and internalize the big picture and broader implications
