Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, design, and deployment of network architecture, including POP builds, backbone capacity planning, and new technology implementation.
- Identify and remediate network congestion, designing scalable solutions and creating technical methods that are repeatable.
- Manage and upgrade platform security, specifically monitoring and patching vulnerabilities (CVEs) on platforms like Fortigate.
- Maintain best-practice documentation for policies, procedures, and network designs.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for Engineering and Operations, assisting with high-level troubleshooting and vendor management.
- Proficient in IP/Ethernet network design, optical systems, and signal flow, including Ciena, Cisco, or Infinera equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Fortigate hardware models (chassis units) and networking standards.
- Proven ability to communicate with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers for project success.
- Skilled in interpreting data to troubleshoot, optimize, and improve network reliability.
