Summary: The SCADA Sr. Developer role focuses on the development, deployment, and management of SCADA systems, specifically FactoryTalk View and Aveva Wonderware. The position requires extensive PLC programming expertise and experience with PlantPAX standards across multiple plants. The candidate will also lead efforts in hosting SCADA applications and ensuring system redundancy and fail-over protocols. Strong collaboration with software and network engineers is essential, along with mentoring less experienced developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SCADA development, deployment, and management for FactoryTalk View and Aveva Wonderware (OMI & InTouch HMI).
  • PLC programming with a focus on Allen-Bradley SLC & ControlLogix.
  • Developing in PlantPAX 4.x or higher and implementing standards across multiple plants and vendors.
  • Leading efforts to centrally host SCADA applications with edge redundancy.
  • Designing, configuring, and testing redundancy and fail-over protocols with Windows servers in a distributed environment.
  • Coordinating with software engineers and network engineers.
  • Understanding MES ecosystem processes and their interaction with ERP and other systems.
  • Mentoring less experienced system developers.
  • Planning for concurrent projects, capital, and tech sustainment.
  • Learning new technology as the industry evolves.

Key Skills:

  • SCADA development, deployment, and management for FactoryTalk View.
  • Experience with Aveva Wonderware (OMI & InTouch HMI) in the latest three major versions.
  • PLC programming expertise with 10+ years of experience, primarily in Allen-Bradley SLC & ControlLogix.
  • Experience developing in PlantPAX 4.x or higher.

Job Description:
SCADA development, deployment, & management for FactoryTalk View & Aveva Wonderware (OMI & InTouch HMI) - experience in newest -3 major versions. PLC programming expert w/ 10+ years of experience with multiple languages understood, primarily Allen-Bradley SLC & ControlLogix
• MUST have experience developing in PlantPAX 4.x or higher & implementing these standards across multiple plants & vendors
• Experience leading efforts to centrally host SCADA applications with edge redundancy
• Experience designing, configuring, & testing redundancy & fail-over protocols with windows servers in a distributed environment
• Strong understanding of hand-offs & responsibility set within an ISA-95 standard
• Strong understanding & ability to lead out on an ISA-88 standard
• Coordinate with software engineers & network engineers
• Strong understanding of MES ecosystem processes and how this set of functions interacts with ERP & other peer systems
• Proven strong understanding of historian applications, ideally Aveva PI (OSI Soft) and the ability to distribute updates to other applications

• Understanding of duration & potential complexity to support planning for concurrent projects, capital & tech sustainment
