Summary: The SCADA Developer role focuses on the development, deployment, and management of SCADA systems, specifically for FactoryTalk View and Aveva Wonderware. The position requires extensive PLC programming expertise and experience with PlantPAX standards across multiple plants. The candidate will also lead efforts in centrally hosted SCADA applications and ensure compliance with ISA standards. Strong mentoring and planning skills are essential for managing concurrent projects and adapting to evolving technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, and manage SCADA systems for FactoryTalk View and Aveva Wonderware.
- Program PLCs with a focus on Allen-Bradley SLC and ControlLogix.
- Implement PlantPAX 4.x standards across multiple plants and vendors.
- Lead efforts for centrally hosted SCADA applications with edge redundancy.
- Design, configure, and test redundancy and fail-over protocols in distributed environments.
- Coordinate with software and network engineers.
- Mentor less experienced system developers.
- Plan for concurrent projects considering duration and complexity.
Key Skills:
- SCADA development, deployment, and management for FactoryTalk View.
- Experience with Aveva Wonderware (OMI & InTouch HMI) in the latest three major versions.
- Expertise in PLC programming with over 10 years of experience.
- Experience developing in PlantPAX 4.x or higher.
- Strong understanding of ISA-95 and ISA-88 standards.
- Knowledge of MES ecosystem processes and their interaction with ERP systems.
- Proficiency in historian applications, ideally Aveva PI (OSI Soft).
- Desire to learn new technologies as the industry evolves.
