SC Cleared Senior Front-end Developer

Summary: We are seeking an SC Cleared Senior Front-end Developer to work with a public sector client. The role involves developing user-centered interfaces and integrating with APIs while ensuring compliance with GDS standards. The position is remote and requires active SC clearance. The contract is expected to last until March 2026, with potential extensions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop features and services using Express.js and TypeScript
• Build accessible, performant, and user-centred interfaces using the GOV.UK Design System and Nunjucks templates
• Integrate with and consume internal and external RESTful APIs, handling authentication, error states, and data validation
• Collaborate closely with the User-Centred Design (UCD) team to iterate user journeys and translate user insights into production-ready features
• Contribute to meeting GDS Service Standard and Service Assessment criteria through accessibility, usability, and performance best practices
• Write and maintain automated tests using Jest and Cypress
• Participate in code reviews, share technical knowledge, and support continuous improvement of development processes

Key Skills:

• Active SC Clearance
• Experience with Express.js and TypeScript

• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with GDS Service Standard
