Summary: The client is looking for an experienced SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Consultant to enhance global trade compliance, customs, and export control processes within a global SAP team. The role requires strong expertise in SAP GTS, particularly in compliance, customs, and risk management, and experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals. The consultant will be responsible for delivering scalable and efficient trade solutions aligned with the client’s operations. The position is remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end implementation, rollout, and support of SAP GTS solutions across global regions
- Configure and support core GTS modules:
- Compliance Management (Sanctioned Party Screening, Embargo)
- Customs Management (Imports/Exports)
- Risk Management & Trade Preference
- Translate business requirements into SAP GTS functional and technical solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SAP SD, MM, FI, Logistics) for seamless integration
- Perform system configuration, testing, and deployment using SAP Activate or similar methodologies
- Manage master data relevant to global trade (products, partners, classification)
- Support audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance documentation
- Drive process improvements and automation in global trade operations
- Provide production support, issue resolution, and continuous optimization
Key Skills:
- 5–10+ years of experience in SAP GTS implementation/support
- Strong knowledge of:
- Export/Import Compliance
- Customs Processes
- Product Classification & Tariffs
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration (SD/MM/FI)
- Hands-on experience in configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP GTS solutions
- Understanding of global trade regulations and compliance frameworks
- Experience in life sciences / pharma / diagnostics domain (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder communication and client-facing experience
