Summary: The Network Architect role at V-Soft Consulting involves designing and defining end-to-end network architecture for distributed retail environments, focusing on connectivity solutions such as Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, and 5G. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and define end-to-end network architecture for distributed retail/store environments
- Lead architecture for Store Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and 5G connectivity solutions
- Develop reference architectures, standards, and best practices for network deployments at scale
- Support Store of the Future initiatives, including integration of IoT devices (POS, handhelds, kiosks, cameras, sensors)
- Partner with security teams to implement segmentation, Zero Trust, and secure edge networking
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (store technology, cloud, infrastructure, product teams)
- Evaluate and recommend network technologies, vendors, and service providers
- Strong understanding of network security architecture (firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, DNS security)
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in network architecture and design for enterprise or retail environments
- Experience with Cisco and Juniper networking technologies
- Experience designing networks for large-scale distributed environments (hundreds/thousands of sites)
- Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS)
- Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, and branch networking
- Experience with cloud-managed networking (e.g., Cisco Meraki)
- Knowledge of 5G/LTE and IoT connectivity solutions
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with automation tools (Python, APIs, Infrastructure as Code)
- Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, etc.)
