Job Description:
AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced Software Engineer MS Access Database Conversion to join our growing team, then go into high-level overview. The Client is looking for Software Engineers to support, maintain and migrate existing Microsoft (MS) Access based business applications supporting critical departmental Medi-Cal business processes. These persons will assist client with technical skills in supporting, maintaining, and migrating the MS Access databases to the Microsoft Power Apps platform, database tuning, setting user privileges, and fulfilling end user requests for modifications. These consulting services will also include knowledge transfer and training for client IT staff.
Mandatory Qualification:
- 5 years of full time equivalent experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming. At least 3 years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
- Possess a bachelor s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- 2 years of experience working with Microsoft PowerApps.
- 3 years of experience within the past 5 years in analyzing business processes, data modeling, relational database designing, and hands-on development, testing, implementing and maintaining MS Access 2003 - 2019 applications.
- 1 year of experience in implementations (from development to production) of MS Access forms, MS Access queries and MS Access reports utilized in a multi-user environment.
- 3 years of experience working on MS Access reports, forms, queries, and tables.
- 4 years of coding experience with one 1 or more of the following: C#, VB.Net, Javascript, VBA, triggers, complex SQL queries, as well as developing and modifying MS Access forms using macros or VBA as per specifications and requirements.
- 3 years of experience in the past 5 years in writing, debugging, optimizing and maintaining applications developed on MS Access.
- 2 years of experience with migrating applications to low-code/no-code platforms such as Power Apps.
Desirable Qualification:
- 5 years of experience migrating MS Access databases to MS SQL Server.
- 5 years of experience coordinating, designing, writing, and executing technical specifications and maintenance operations procedures and processes.
- 5 years of experience with third-party Application Programming Interface (API) development or integration.
- 5 years of experience with Agile development practices.
