Summary: The role of Microsoft Purview Specialist / Technical Architect involves leading the deployment and structuring of Microsoft Purview capabilities within a global enterprise data transformation program. The consultant will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to design and implement a comprehensive data governance framework and architecture. This position requires a blend of technical implementation expertise and strong governance capabilities, particularly in the context of Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Platform. The consultant will also facilitate workshops and produce documentation to support the organization's data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise-wide Microsoft Purview architecture
- Define and establish data governance standards, taxonomy, lineage, cataloging, and metadata management frameworks
- Support the integration of Purview within the broader Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Platform
- Drive architecture workshops with business and technical stakeholders
- Perform current-state assessments and gap analysis
- Provide architecture recommendations aligned with enterprise transformation objectives
- Define best practices for data discovery, classification, lineage, and governance enforcement
- Ensure alignment with Medallion architecture principles
- Produce technical and governance documentation
- Collaborate with Information Architecture and Enterprise Data Architecture teams
- Support adoption and enablement of Purview capabilities across the organization

As part of this transformation, the organization is building a modern data platform based on Microsoft Fabric, Medallion Architecture, and enterprise-wide governance standards.
