Microsoft Cloud Architect Infrastructure & Security Assessments

Summary: We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Cloud Architect to lead Infrastructure and Security Assessment engagements, focusing on evaluating client environments against Microsoft best practices. This customer-facing advisory role emphasizes assessment, gap analysis, and strategic roadmap creation rather than day-to-day support. The position is remote and offers a long-term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Microsoft technologies and security assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Infrastructure and Security Assessment engagements for clients.
• Evaluate client environments against Microsoft best practices, including Zero Trust and the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework.
• Conduct assessment, gap analysis, and create strategic roadmaps.
• Provide advisory services without day-to-day support responsibilities.

Key Skills:

• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD): Conditional Access, PIM, Identity Protection, Hybrid Identity
• Microsoft Intune: Compliance policies, Autopilot, MAM/MAM-WE, cloud-native device management
• M365 Security & Compliance: Defender XDR, Secure Score, Purview (DLP, Sensitivity Labels)
• Strong experience with security posture assessments, configuration reviews, and modernization roadmaps
• PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API; KQL is a plus
