Summary: The Mainframe Batch Operations Technician role is focused on supporting enterprise and mainframe batch processing environments for state government agencies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, schedule, and manage batch jobs using Control-M in mainframe and distributed environments.
  • Analyze and resolve job failures, performance issues, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Perform JCL troubleshooting, restarts, and reruns as required.
  • Provide operational support for applications across multiple agencies, ensuring SLA adherence.
  • Document procedures, incident resolutions, and operational processes clearly and accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with application teams, infrastructure teams, and business users.
  • Participate in shift coverage, including mandatory 2nd shift and Sunday support.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with Control-M (job scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting).
  • 5+ years of experience with JCL in a mainframe environment.
  • 5+ years of strong oral, written, and technical documentation skills.

Contract Duration: Through 06/30/2026 (Strong possibility of extension)

Job Description IRG Clients is seeking an experienced Mainframe Batch Operations Technician to support enterprise and mainframe batch processing environments for state government agencies. This role is part of the Computer Platform Services team and is responsible for monitoring, scheduling, and troubleshooting critical production jobs using Control-M and JCL in a 24x7 operational environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide high-quality customer support in a mission-critical setting. Key Responsibilities
