Summary: An opportunity exists for a People Advisor to join a large charitable organization on a short-term fully remote contract. The role involves supporting the People Team with complex employee relations cases and providing expert advice on employment law to Line Managers. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing employee relations and a CIPD level 5 qualification or above. This position is full-time, requiring 35 hours per week for a duration of 6 weeks, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on employee relations matters such as disciplinary, grievance, performance, sickness absence, and whistleblowing
- Maintain accurate HR records and oversee the integrity of the HR system
- Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies across all HR activities
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and disputes
- Mediating conflicts between employees and management to maintain positive relationships
- Manage disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans consistently
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies to reduce legal risk
- Collaborate with legal teams on complex employee relations issues
- Deliver training for managers on conflict resolution and performance management
- Monitor employee morale and engagement; recommend improvement initiatives
Key Skills:
- CIPD level 5 and above
- Experience managing complex ER cases from start to finish
- Experience working in a HR environment in a Charity
