Summary: The Epic Application Analyst Level 3 is responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing Epic Ambulatory modules while translating complex information into business requirements. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with standards throughout the project lifecycle. The analyst will also lead process improvement initiatives and provide support to junior team members. The position requires a strong background in clinical systems and Epic certification, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, design, and implement Epic Ambulatory modules
- Collect and translate complex information into business requirements
- Develop, update, and maintain documentation supporting design, implementation, and maintenance of clinical information systems
- Evaluate information from multiple sources to distinguish user needs from business needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize project scope, benefits, and risks and manage expectations
- Analyze and document business requirements and processes and communicate them using data models, process models, flowcharts, and technical specifications
- Conduct interviews with end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors to assess business and clinical needs
- Create business, functional, and technical requirements documentation in accordance with standards
- Translate requirements into detailed specifications including data sources, user types, interfaces, navigation, reporting, and administrative needs
- Define external interfaces, constraints, quality issues, and non-functional requirements
- Identify risks, concerns, and ambiguities and communicate them to project teams and assist in developing solutions
- Partner with project managers to complete requirements documentation aligned with project schedules
- Plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and workgroups and manage follow-up activities
- Ensure development teams meet defined requirements and coordinate with QA to ensure compliance with standards
- Manage and document requirement changes through change control processes
- Develop and maintain test plans, technical documentation, release notes, and training materials
- Plan, coordinate, and support unit acceptance testing and deployments
- Perform end user and application support, including troubleshooting and resolving defects
- Develop and deliver project presentations
- Participate in special projects as required
- Train, mentor, and evaluate junior team members and manage assigned work products
- Lead process improvement initiatives and implement improvements across projects and applications
- Identify process improvement opportunities and propose and communicate solutions
- Supervise and provide direction to junior analysts, consultants, and project team members
- Participate in interviewing junior analysts and project team members
- Work beyond regularly scheduled hours as needed
