Key Responsibilities:
- Perform database maintenance, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support.
- Advise on database environments, architecture recommendations, high-level design for new initiatives, and their impact on enterprise architecture.
- Lead and coordinate large DBA support teams, guiding architecture, design, implementation, and support for project/production databases.
- Collaborate with business owners, project managers, and technical teams to contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and scalability initiatives.
- Conduct capacity analysis for peak loads, year-over-year growth planning, and scalability recommendations.
- Participate in analysis, unit testing, documentation, and strategy for large-scale systems and tools.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on database administration or architecture experience (5-6 years preferred).
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle (both preferred).
- Working knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Proven experience in database performance tuning, maintenance, patching, upgrades, and production troubleshooting.

About the Role
We seek an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to provide hands-on operational support for production database environments. You'll maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot databases while offering advisory guidance on new database environments and architecture (without leading design). This role involves technical leadership for DBA support teams, coordinating complex database implementation and support for production efforts, and influencing enterprise-wide scalability and best practices.
