Summary: We are seeking a high-impact, hands-on Senior Data Analyst BSA to support a core Enterprise Data Engineering organization, working closely with C-level and VP-level stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams. This role requires a blend of strong technical skills in SQL and cloud data platforms, along with excellent business process understanding to translate business needs into scalable data solutions. The consultant will actively drive data requirements and product definitions, ensuring alignment with business priorities. This is a contract role that operates 100% remotely during EST hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary data domain analyst for Sales, Marketing, and other business units, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Lead requirements gathering, business process mapping, and data flow analysis for enterprise data initiatives.
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements for Data Engineering, EDW, MDM, and BI teams.
  • Write and validate complex SQL queries to profile data, validate requirements, and support solution design.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to shape the data product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Support UAT, testing, documentation, and training for new data products and enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and improved data quality.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a simplified manner for business and reporting users.

Key Skills:

  • 13+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, BSA, or similar role in enterprise data environments.
  • Strong experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) systems and/or Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Expert-level SQL with hands-on experience writing complex, advanced queries.
  • Experience with Cloud Data Platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, etc.).
  • Proven ability to work directly with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving clarity.
  • Demonstrated experience mapping business processes to EDW structures and data models.
  • Strong understanding of business metrics, KPIs, and visualization/reporting needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills - able to translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.
  • Highly proactive, self-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
