Summary: The Cloud Security Analyst role involves collaborating with AI research labs to enhance AI systems' understanding of cloud security. Candidates will leverage their practical experience to analyze and evaluate cloud security scenarios, focusing on real-world implications of misconfigurations and security incidents. This position requires a clear understanding of risk management in cloud environments and the ability to provide actionable feedback to improve AI-generated security reasoning. The role is fully remote and offers flexible hours, with a commitment of 10–40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, failure patterns, and real-world impact
- Review and evaluate IAM configurations, networking setups, storage policies, and container security issues
- Classify security gaps and misconfigurations based on severity, blast radius, and business exposure
- Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to ensure it reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold
- Provide structured, expert feedback that directly shapes how AI understands and responds to cloud security challenges
Key Skills:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production
- Strong familiarity with cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security across one or more major providers
- Experience with real-world misconfigurations, security incidents, or cloud vulnerability assessments
- Ability to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and the downstream business impact of security failures
- Clear communicator who can translate technical findings into structured, actionable feedback
- Experience with cloud security frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, CSPM tooling, or cloud-native security services (nice to have)
- Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response (nice to have)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code security (Terraform, CloudFormation) or Kubernetes security (nice to have)

Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training)
About The Role
We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI systems — and we need practitioners who understand how cloud environments actually fail. As a Cloud Security Analyst, you'll bring your real-world experience to help train and evaluate frontier AI models on cloud security scenarios. This isn't a theoretical role. We're looking for people who have seen misconfigurations cause incidents, who understand why a single IAM mistake can cascade into a full breach, and who can reason clearly about risk in complex cloud environments.
