Summary: The Cloud Engineer - Junior Azure role focuses on implementing Azure governance and policy as code, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, and automating processes through Azure Automation runbooks. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and enforce Azure Policies as Terraform code and guardrails across subscriptions
- Manage RBAC, security posture, compliance, and lifecycle standards
- Build and maintain reusable IaC modules (Terraform and ARM)
- Automate landing zones and standardized environments
- Ensure reliability with logging, error handling, and best practices in Azure Automation runbooks
- Use Managed Identities for secure, credential-free access
- Oversee runbook lifecycle: version control, testing, and deployment
- Automate provisioning, compliance checks, remediation, and security triage
- Integrate governance into CI/CD (Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, GitHub repositories)
- Enable policy validation, security scans, and drift detection in pipelines
- Manage code via Git-based workflows
- Deliver automated guardrails and policy-as-code
- Create scalable landing zones and standardized environments
- Ensure continuous compliance, monitoring, and remediation
- Develop reusable frameworks and strong documentation
