Summary: The role of Data Business Analyst involves supporting a high-profile data migration programme within a private equity-backed organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyse, and document business and data requirements for migration initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology functions to define target-state data processes and mappings
- Support end-to-end data migration activities including data profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and testing
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to capture requirements and drive decision-making
- Work closely with data engineers, project managers, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies related to data quality and migration activities
- Produce clear documentation including process flows, mapping documents, and migration plans
- Support UAT planning and execution to ensure successful implementation
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst within large-scale data migration or transformation programmes
- Experience working in private equity-backed, fast-growth, or transformation-led environments
- Strong understanding of data structures, data governance, and migration methodologies
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or enterprise system migrations
