The Data and Intelligence Strategy team are delivering the Gloucestershire County Council Data and Intelligence Strategy and we are looking for a project manager to manage the implementation of strategy projects. We’re looking for a full-time Project Manager for data strategy on a fixed term contract to 31 March 2027.

About The Team This role sits within the Data and Intelligence Strategy team in the Planning, Performance and Insight service. Due to the nature of the role, it will also work closely with managers and transformation colleagues across the service directorates.

About The Role As a Project Manager for Data Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in turning our Data and Intelligence Strategy into reality. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Data and Intelligence Strategy Team, the Data Analysis and Insights Team, and the Performance and Improvement Team, as well as key stakeholders from across the Council. In this role, you’ll project manage key development, design & implementation activities that enable the availability of data across the organisation. This includes driving forward initiatives such as self-service dashboard development for core services, scoping product requirements, developing technical specifications, defining and measuring benefits, UAT and driving adoption and spread across the services.

About You Ideally, you'll have experience of leading the delivery of data and intelligence related projects. You'll be qualified or have experience of project management. We’ll need you to lead on the delivery of one or more projects through their lifecycle from initiation to delivery of benefits, taking responsibility for project governance, behaviour change and deliverables. You should be highly self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation. You will have experience of leading project teams from initiation to business as usual and have experience in running multiple concurrent projects, dealing with pressurised stakeholders and moving projects forwards while managing time and resource constraints. You will be adept at building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, managing engagement and ensuring good communication across the project lifecycle. We’ll need you to also take responsibility for project governance, behaviour change and deliverables including scoping, quantifying, and tracking benefits. You should be highly self-motivated and resilient with the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation.
