Summary: The Programme Manager role focuses on leading a high-profile regeneration and infrastructure programme for a local authority in Lowestoft. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead programme and project management for the NFGN masterplan delivery
  • Oversee and conclude viability reviews, supporting Members in understanding financial and strategic implications
  • Shape and advise on preferred tenure mix and development strategy
  • Procure and manage the Integrated Framework, ensuring delivery solutions for long-term resourcing and programme sustainability
  • Assess Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) implications for leisure centre proposals in Ipswich and Felixstowe, including financial and strategic justification
  • Prepare high-quality reports, agendas, and briefing papers for governance meetings (member and officer level)
  • Take ownership of budget management and financial oversight for the NFGN programme
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including Cabinet Members and leadership teams
  • Provide regular strategic briefings and programme updates

Key Skills:

  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Prince2 Practitioner (essential)
  • Proven experience in programme management, regeneration projects, or local authority delivery
  • Strong background in governance, financial management, and stakeholder engagement
