Summary: The role of Product Manager involves leading a high-impact digital programme within a central government environment, focusing on AWS and data platforms. The successful candidate will manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with user needs and strategic goals while collaborating with stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to influence decisions across teams and shape critical public services. The contract is for 6 months with an ASAP start date and requires hybrid working in Leeds, Newcastle, or Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning and evolving product roadmaps for AWS and data platforms
- Collaborating with the Lead Product Manager to shape product vision and strategy
- Prioritising backlogs based on value, effort, and strategic alignment
- Engaging with stakeholders and users to understand needs and define requirements
- Communicating complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible way
- Influencing cross-team priorities and advocating for the platform
- Facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring a well-refined backlog
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager within UK Government or public sector
- Strong track record delivering technology products (ideally AWS or data platforms)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical challenges for non-technical audiences
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
