Summary: The Product Lead for the RTGS system will be responsible for shaping early-stage initiatives on the client's roadmap, focusing on stakeholder requirements and detailed scope definition. This role requires strong leadership in product strategy and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders effectively. The consultant will ensure that designs are aligned and ready for downstream product teams. The position is hybrid and requires SC clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery and high-level design of a new RTGS capability
- Translate policy, user needs, and industry insight into clear product direction
- Produce high-quality outputs (business cases, option analysis, high-level requirements)
- Shape roadmap and prioritisation through senior stakeholder engagement
- Support industry engagement (e.g. consultations, discussion papers)
- Ensure designs are aligned, feasible, and ready to transition into delivery
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in product strategy, discovery, or shaping early-stage change
- Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and defining strategic direction
- Able to operate in ambiguity and structure complex problems into clear outputs
- Experience working across business, policy, and technology teams
- Payments / financial services experience desirable

Our Financial Services client are looking for a Product Lead to join them on a contract basis. The consultant will own one of the initiatives on the Clients roadmap of future change for the RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement System). The initiative will be in a relatively early stage of design, and the consultant will be responsible for the early “shaping” of the item. This will include analysing stakeholder requirements, deciding and agreeing the detailed scope of the change, and ensuring the change is ready to be picked up by downstream Product teams.
