Summary: My Local Authority client in Greater London is seeking a Procurement & Contract Savings Consultant on a contract basis. The role focuses on reviewing contracts for re-procurement and identifying in-term savings opportunities. Local Authority experience is essential for this position. The consultant will engage with stakeholders to align savings with service delivery and prepare business cases for contract reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review contracts due for re-procurement and existing contracts for in-term savings.
  • Use benchmarking insights to evidence and validate savings opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies for contract consolidation, renegotiation, and improved supplier management.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of savings with service delivery.
  • Prepare robust business cases and recommendations for each contract reviewed.

Key Skills:

  • Deep Commercial Procurement expertise, within the Public Sector.
  • MCIPS is desirable.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Local Authority experience is essential.

Salary (Rate): £500 per day
